GAFX (Bengaluru)

Bengaluru GAFX is Karnataka’s annual event for the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and immersive technology ecosystem, supported by the Government of Karnataka. Scheduled to take place from 27th February to 01st March 2026, GAFX brings together artists, studios, professionals, students, and global leaders on one powerful platform to shape the future of creative industries.
Over the years, GAFX has hosted insightful panel discussions, studio pitch sessions, sketchbook showcases by leading artists, and high-energy live competitions, creating meaningful opportunities for learning, collaboration, and talent discovery. Recognized as a premier platform for India’s AVGC community, the event continues to grow in scale, reach, and impact.
GAFX 2026 offers strong opportunities for branding, networking, and talent acquisition, while live competitions provide a stage for professionals, students, and emerging creators to showcase their work to industry leaders and studios.

WAFX – WAVES VFX COMPETITION is India’s premier nationwide hunt for top VFX talent In a pioneering collaboration, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (I&B) has joined forces with ABAI to introduce the first-ever WAVES VFX COMPETITION, the headline event of the upcoming World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES). This monumental partnership signifies a new chapter for India’s creative industry, launching the inaugural.
The competition is open to students, amateurs, and professionals alike, who simply need to submit their VFX work to participate. Throughout the journey, contestants will benefit from masterclasses and mentorship, honing their skills in preparation for the Grand Finale at the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) in New Delhi in February 2025, where finalists will vie for the prestigious Best Student and Professional VFX Artist Award.
The first stage will feature an online qualifier round where we expect 2000+ entries. A Pre-Selection Jury will select 10 Students and 10 Professional contestants to move to the second phase and compete at the Zonal level Person competitions. The Zonal Winners will advance to the Grand Finale in a 24-hour VFX Marathon format in front of a Grand Jury comprising National Award Winner VFX Supervisors.
